The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. With a fresh news circulating every day around the menacing corona virus, the terror it has delved into the minds of people is beyond imagination and absolutely palpable. However, we at skinQure urge you to not accept everything which you stumble upon. It is sacrosanct to take precautionary measures but not to make your blood run cold out of the fear. We, at skinqure, awarded as one of the best skin care clinics in south delhi, will try to delineate all the accurate information about the lethal virus.

Coronaviruses are a family of viruses known to cause respiratory infections, from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The most recently discovered coronavirus causes COVID-19 and is highly debilitating. Dr. Jangid, one of the best dermatologists in Delhi NCR quotes “Though, there’s massive hearsay claiming that it doesn’t affect young people, it’s false. Younger people are less vulnerable as ostensibly they have better immune system but the virus is severe enough to require hospitalization.”

The virus comes with an avalanche of symptoms even though the incubation period is slightly longer, some common symptoms which are:  fever, tiredness, and dry cough. Sometimes, aches and nasal congestion is experienced. Some people become infected but remain oblivious due to lack of any symptom. Most people recover from the disease without needing special treatment. Even though coronavirus does annihilate people, majority of the people recover. One doesn’t need to run to the hospital because of cold and flu. There are more belligerent viruses in the hospital which may attack you when you were just slightly under the weather.

Talking about the necessary precautions, Dr. Jangid, Skin specialist in Delhi, emphasizes on a few points to avoid the ramifications –

  1. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water
  2. maintain at least 1 metre distance
  3. Avoid touching your face.
  4. Refrain from smoking and other such activities which may weaken the lungs
  5. Practise social distancing

Even though the virus is highly contagious, it spreads from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth via coughing or sneezing and even indirectly by touching something contaminated such as door knobs and then touching your face. However, It is not omnipotent or undefeatable, let’s practice social distancing physically and stay united mentally to put an end to this pandemic. To all those, who are not adhering to the lockdown, remember, you may survive it but you may transfer it to somebody who may not, Don’t take chances.
